Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods for all our extension projects:

Preferred

BACS Transfer

Bank payments are our preferred method as we can reliably track all transaction histories.

Cash

Accepted for smaller amounts where bank transfer isn't practical.

Please note: We do not currently accept cheques or card payments.

Example Payment Schedule

Here's an example for a £60,000 project (inc VAT):

Stage Amount
Deposit (50%) — upon agreement £30,000
Foundation and walls complete (25%) £15,000
Roof, windows and doors fitted (20%) £12,000
Final payment upon completion (5%) £3,000
Total £60,000

Why a 50% Deposit?

SmartSpec Extensions use specialist materials and advanced technologies that need to be ordered and prepared before your build begins. The deposit covers these essential components, ensuring your project starts on schedule.

Every project is unique, and your payment schedule will be tailored to suit your specific build. All terms are agreed in writing before work begins.

Additional Work

If you request any additional work during the project, extra charges will be billed either before project commencement or incorporated into your final payments, depending on the scope of the changes.

Any changes to the original specification will be discussed and agreed with you before work proceeds, ensuring you always know what to expect.
